Monday Morning Update

Posted 6:35am

The surf looks fun in pretty much every region this morning but the 5’+ high tide is bogging it down at most spots.

The combo swell is still showing plenty of energy on the buoys and surf along the beach is mostly around waist-chest high+ with shoulder high sets. Standout combo breaks that can handle the tide are seeing head high+ sets. It looks biggest through San Diego but OC is seeing some similar sizes at times. Best shape is at the combo beach breaks. Santa Barbara and North LA are both looking pretty small but expect longboard waves at the top spots in those areas even with the high tide.

Winds are light to moderately offshore right now. They should stay offshore for most of the morning before backing down this afternoon…watch for a chance for an afternoon surf later today.
