Surfing on Thursday

Thursday will be cleaner than Wednesday since winds are expected to be lighter through the morning. Our swell, which is mostly windswell, will be backing down but there should be a few rideable ones for the dawn patrol.

I would look to find the most surfable waves at breaks that work well on windswell, and can handle the building morning tide. Plan on using your small-wave board, or longboard, since there won’t be a lot of oomph to the surf. Try to get on it a little early as well…the combo of higher afternoon tide and building winds will shut it down toward the afternoon.
