Tropical Update – Tropical Depression 20-E forms

Well even though we are almost out of the “official” tropical storm season it looks like the tropics still have enough energy to spin up some activity.

Newly formed Tropical Depression 20-E formed this morning and the current forecasts are expecting it to have some real legs in the development department. They are expecting the storm to become a hurricane (possibly a Major Hurricane) over the next 48 hours. (Tropical Storm/Hurricane Rick when it becomes a named system).

While it is still a ways away from the Socal Swell window it looks like the Tip of Southern Baja and Central Mainland Mexico could be looking a some solid tropical swell over the next several days. Granted we still have to see a lot of development out of this depression…but it will definitely be worth keeping an eye on.
