Monday will be rideable but I think that the morning high tides and the small swell mix will keep most spots from having a real surf day.
On Monday we are going to see a mix of WNW-NW windswell, some small SW swell (190-210), and a touch of background NW energy (295-300+).
Most of the average exposed spots are going to hold around knee high through the morning high tide but may see some knee-waist high sets once things start to drain out. The top NW facing breaks and the good combo spots are going to be more in the knee-waist high range through the high tide but with a few chest high sets sneaking in as we head towards a lower tide in the afternoon.
Winds look good for Monday…mostly light and variable to light/moderate offshore for the morning (showing the strongest offshore flow up toward SB/Ventura/LA). Then variable onshore winds, mostly out of the W, around 8-12 knots for the afternoon.
Your best bet is going to be the combo beach breaks that have more NW exposure, mostly those through Ventura, the South Bay, and San Diego…of course it would be best if they could power through the 6’+ high tide that hits right in the middle of the morning…but if they can’t the winds should stay OK enough to still get a semi-clean session once the tide starts to fade out. Overall I think you are going to want to stick with the small wave gear…but you might be able to get away with some fishier shapes at the top spots.
Here are the tides…
