Tropical Update: Tropical Depression 9E

A new tropical depression formed in the East Pacific yesterday...TD-09. Current forecasts are calling for this depression to slowly intensify over the next couple of days...possibly becoming a named storm by Tuesday morning.

Unfortunately at this point it doesn’t look like TD-09 is going to be much of a wave maker, even if it becomes a tropical storm. The system is very small, (not even 25-30 miles wide), it is moving away from us, and its movement speed is expected to increase as it heads further west.

Hopefully the tropical wave further eastward will develop into something more organized in the next couple of days.
