I don’t normally post a lot of pro stuff on the blog….but this J-Bay footage is pretty radical…and it makes me pretty freaking jealous that we are stuck in limbo-summer-surf. I love J-bay anyways...but this makes surfing it look off the hook.
Even though the heat along our coast is breaking (and the eddy reforming)...I could sure use a cold, hollow, overhead pointbreak right now…
(Guys on the email list…make sure to click through www.socalsurf.com to see the video. It is definitely worth spending a few minutes watching the interweb video)

Some Southern Hemi Video
Some video of the Southern Hemi in action...
I particularly like the ragdoll at 1:11 and the flying squirrel at 0:50
(email list...click on http://www.socalsurf.com to view the video)
Make sure to check out Jason's full blog...maybe check out a few of his advertisers while you are there :)

On a random note did you guys see the funky eddie cloud bank moving in this afternoon? It looked like a winter storm bearing down.

James Taylor breaking his back on a wave in South Africa
I ran across this video while I was working today and I thought I would share it with you. As a guy with back trouble I winced the instant I saw the title of this video and getting your spine hurt is never a good thing...but I had to watch nonetheless.
It is crazy that this was all captured on camera...but for James sake I am stoked that he is around to narrate it, even if it means a lot of rest/therapy for the next several months. Hopefully he will get better soon.

Random video – Holly Beck – South Bay dawn patrolling
Ran across this video while doing some work this morning…and while it isn’t super crazy or anything it is a pretty good use of the board-mounted camera and a good way to waste a few minutes. Oh and around the 2:40 mark you can see my mortal enemies stalking Holly in the background. (no means no flipper.)

Surf Video - Jaws Wipeout – Yeah this dude is bummed…
I usually don’t post things like this…but this guy gets worked.
Hmm over the falls at Jaws and an extra set wave to the dome for good measure...I think I will pass.
Not sure if you guys will be able to see this in the email...but it is worth clicking through to the site to watch it.
