Normally I am pretty light-hearted on this blog, there is enough bad stuff in this world that I don’t need to add anything to it...but I wanted to let you guys know that we Southern California surfers just lost a good member of our “family.”
Emily Haager, an amazing member of the surf community, has lost her lifelong fight with Cystic Fibrosis. Emily was an inspiration to all that know her, had a zeal for life and was a great ambassador for the amazing therapeutic effect that surfing has on combating ravages of Cystic Fibrosis.
For those interesting in attending her memorial, it will be held this Saturday May 8th, 11am at First Christian Church-HB 1207 Main St Huntington Beach - www.fcchb.com and a paddle out will follow shortly after down at Blackies in Newport.
I have shared this with you before about a year ago…but if you have the time please take a moment to watch this video of Emily speaking about surfing and CF.
