This is from the normally stodgy NWS (Regional Forecast Discussion)…apparently someone has told the forecasters that they are now allowed to have a personality...though this is probably not quite the metaphor I would have used...but hey they are new at this.
.LONG TERM (FRI-SUN)...MODELS CONTINUE TO SHOW A CHANCE OF A WEAK TROUGH WORKING ITS WAY DOWN THE WEST COAST OVER THE WEEKEND. ENSEMBLES* ARE SPREAD OUT LIKE BUTTER ON TOAST...AND EXPECT RUN-TO-RUN CONSISTENCY TO CONTINUE TO BE POOR.
At this rate I am expecting them to be dropping dirty jokes into the forecasts by the next month…though if I see a “swampthing” in their marine forecasts I am going to be pissed…
*the “ensembles” are basically a tool that lets them overlay all of the various weather models in one spot and compare how much they match…the more the models are in alignment the more credibility a forecaster will give a particular part of the forecast. (I do my ensembles with crayons…and usually a clone trooper helmet on)

Surf or no surf is why we check this lol...Funny thogh,but Surf Next week or???High Pressure still hating on the west coast?Looks lik a nice SW swell by Next week if pans together......Ya or Na?
The regular forecast is on the way...the NWS was just trying to make a funny, which is not something that they usually do.
They made a funny... and I pooped in my pants laughing... well, I happened to be laughing, when I pooped my pants... not sure they were related... :P
