I was out w/ one other guy and it was a hot, santa ana day with a mixed head high plus swell in the water. I saw a large splash 30 yards out and assumed it was another pelican diving on a bait ball and thought little of it. There are so many people in those waters and no real attacks. I think a board was bumped by a baby one time. Multiple sightings and news...Trails 1-4 are Sharky! Multiple sightings and news in 2004 and recent sightings including a chopper spotting a huge one (whitey) near the lineup calling the guys out. We parked at the vista point south of the power plant and we hiked down the cliff, apparently we took some sort of back way into lucky 7.
